It is the little things

Yesterday youngest daughter and I went into town.  First stop was the library to pick up the book she requested for her geography class.  

Next stop was the Hope Thrift Shop.  We were on a mission...to find some Taylor Swift music.  She didn't find any CDs but she did find a medium weight raincoat that she liked loved for $6.00, 

a pillow sham for $.25 and 3 lollipops (2 for her sisters.)  I lost count of the number of times she thanked me for getting the raincoat. After going to another thrift shop with no luck finding the CDs we preceded to Target where she did find a Taylor Swift CD and paid for it herself.


Now we were hungry and Subway sounded good and affordable.  With eating done, we went to Lowes to pick up a mop. After a quick stop at the Dollar Store we went home.


"Mom, this has been the best Saturday."  exclaims youngest daughter numerous times.


Yes,  it is the little things that matter.
